F.A.Q.
What is the "Switch-a-roo too"?
The "Switch-a-roo too" is the latest version of the original video cable that will allow you to use a Tandy Color Computer 3 on a modern display (HDMI or DVI) in either RGB or composite mode.
How Does this differ from the Orginal version?
The only thing that has changed is the SCART connector. The orginal connector was discontinued by the manufactor, so I've replaced it with the same connector I use on my popular Apple IIgs SCART video cables.
What else will I need with the "Switch-a-roo too" ?
Well besides a Coco3 and your display you will need a SCART to HDMI converter. Here is an interesting article on SCART to HDMI converters to avoid.
Also you will need a HDMI cable (or HDMI to DVI cable if using a DVI display) and finally a USB power source (any USB power source will do even the 1 amp ones).
What is the switch for?
The switch allows you to easily switch between RGB and Composite modes. This allows you to go from displaying the Coco3’s crisp RGB video to PMODE 4 Artifact Colors without having to swap cables or displays. (Please note that PMODE 4 Artifact colors are only available on NTSC systems. and your converter box must support composite video not just sync)
What is the USB cable for?
The USB cable needs plugged into 5 volt USB power source (not included). It is needed for the SCART to HDMI converter box.
How long is it?
The RGB cord is about 22 inches (55cm), composite (RCA) cable is about 2 feet (60cm) and USB is about 4 feet (1.2m)
